Franchising and licensing in a digitally accelerated world
Much like how businesses and franchisors have leveraged technology to overcome the challenges of the global pandemic, the 16th edition of Franchising & Licensing Asia (FLAsia) has enhanced its digital offerings for exhibitors and attendees in its second virtual run happening from 25 - 26 November 2021.
FLAsia is a key international trade event that congregates franchises, licenses, brands, and business concepts from all over the world to Asia. The 2021 edition features over 70 international brands from more than 60 companies in countries such as Korea, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. Attendees can look forward to connecting with top players from key sectors such as food and beverage, education, wellness and professional service offering new business and investment opportunities.
This year's FLAsia will showcase new enhancements to the digital event platform, including an AI-powered business matching feature that guarantees ideal matches between potential franchisees and franchisors based on their business profile on the platform.
FLAsia 2021 will also be introducing two new programme highlights for a more immersive virtual event experience.
The popular Pizza Alvolo, featured on numerous hit Korean dramas, as well as Nu Vending, offering smart vending machines powered by an app-based inventory tool to track consumer insights, are among the exciting brand concepts appearing on the Fresh! Brand showcase, a series of fast-paced 5-minute investor-oriented pitches across the 2 days.
Another new feature, Discovery Days, will allow interested buyers to sign-up for exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of exciting brand concepts. Nu Vending, one of the brands featured on this highlight, will allow attendees to explore how the tech-based solution reduces labour-reliance and increases productivity by reimagining automation through data analytics.
Beyond the exciting new features and engaging virtual exhibition showcase, attendees can look forward to insights from more than 50 expert speakers across 15 keynote and panel sessions spread over the two-day conference. The line-up includes notable Founders, CEOs and industry leaders such as Joe Canterbury, Founder of Chaucer Global, David Chiem, Founder, CEO and Executive Chairman of MindChamps PreSchool and Nguyen Phi Van, Chairwoman of Vietnam Angel Network.
The event started off this morning with an opening address by Guest-of-Honour Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), following a joint introduction by Mr Andrew Khoo, President, Franchising and Licensing Association (Singapore) and Mr Chua Wee Phong, Chief Executive (Markets) at Constellar.
Prior to the launch of the event, Mr Chua said: “FLAsia 2021 continues to be an important nexus for global as well as regional businesses looking for a springboard to Asia. A virtual event such as this transcends physical boundaries, creating vast growth and networking opportunities across borders for a true international experience. We look forward to bringing everyone together again for a vibrant showcase of creative innovations.”
The FLAsia 2021 virtual platform will remain live beyond the 2-day conference until 31 December 2021 to allow attendees to continue to network, build lasting connections and collaborate on business opportunities.
