Exciting Consumers through Digital Festivalisation
With COVID-19 transforming the way events are held, trade exhibitions have been exploring how best to create engaging experiences as they partner with industry stakeholders on online and hybrid event platforms. This year the SingEx-Sphere team devised new ways to engage customers and continue to serve their appetite for gadgets and electronics during this pandemic.
For the first time in its history, the Consumer Electronics Exhibition (CEE) Festival 2021 will feature a multi-platform format with online and offline promotions over a period of 11 days. This will allow consumers the flexibility of shopping from the comfort of their homes or physically dropping by participating exhibitors’ retail outlets or showrooms to shop for these great offers.
Following the success of this multi-platform format and digital brochure introduced during Singapore’s first ever IT Show Festival earlier this year, the SingEx-Sphere Tech Sector team decided to adopt a similar format over the 11-day festival period which coincides with the upcoming June school holidays.
Happening from 27 May to 6 June 2021, the CEE Festival will allow consumers to shop from participating exhibitors’ online stores 24/7. Alternatively, they can also head down to visit participating exhibitors’ retail outlets or showrooms during the festival period to shop for these great offers.
Innovating to Engage Audiences
As event businesses continue to evolve to cater to ever-changing consumer needs, the team behind the CEE Festival had to rethink how to engage and excite consumers in creative ways. This year’s CEE Festival 2021 will have a “gaming room category” featuring this season’s must-have gaming products and devices catering to gaming aficionados to upgrade their gaming sanctuaries and set-ups.
“The team noticed a growing demand and interest for gaming gadgets and devices based on consumer sentiments and feedback from the ground, and thus wanted to explore this new segment to expand beyond consumer electronics goods and services. As such, we will be introducing a thematic gaming room category for the CEE Festival 2021 which consumers can look forward to.” says June Ng, the Head of Sales (Tech Sector) at SingEx-Sphere Holdings Pte Ltd.
Consumers will also be able to download the digital brochure which features an abundance of unbeatable deals and offers from participating brands and megastores including Harvey Norman, StarHub, Challenger, Dreamcore, KIOXIA, Dell, Omnidesk, AVITA, PRISM+, Aftershock PC, Philips, VAIO, Circles.Life.
The Consumer Electronics Exhibition Festival 2021 is part of a year-long festivalisation of tech shows including the IT Show Festival that happened between 11 - 21 March 2021. Consumers can also look forward to COMEX happening in September and The Tech Show in November. As consumers' expectations continue to shift, the landscape of events business has pivoted into the new normal. SingEx-Sphere will continue to harness the potential of hybrid events and explore multi-platform formats in both the B2B and B2C space, to engage communities in more ways than one.
